The Faith Talk

Hebrews 11:1 NLT

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for;it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

There were so many times in my life where I prayed for something and it did not seem to come to pass/ fruition and I would ponder on why it never came to pass for many nights and then I was reminded that the reason for this was due to the fact that I lacked the element of faith in my life.

We can pray all we want but if we are lacking in faith, it has a low chance of coming to life.

What I love about Hebrews 11 is that it doesn’t only define faith but it gives us examples of people who have exercised the very same faith we require to live and ultimately please God, just like Hebrews 11:6 NLT says, “And it was impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

Faith kept so many people in the bible going.

If we take a look at Abraham. An old man without children with this promise of a child from God not sure how this would happen but despite his wife’s disbelief, the moving and Hagar, he trusted God and because he believed in the words of God without wavering when considering his age and all the problems that faced him, the promise of God came to fruition and even when asked to give up his son as a sacrifice, he trusted God and God gave him a lamb as a sacrifice instead of his son.

I know how hard it came be to have faith the very thing you desire seems expired and overdue but that’s exactly why we require faith because faith activates the promises of God which are Yes and Amen.

If God can trust you enough to have faith, He can trust you with the promise.

It’s hard, yes but God will do it. Have Faith.

As we walk into 2020, we need to walk into this year with faith, radical faith. We need to have eyes of faith because I tell you that if we cannot see beyond the eyes of the flesh, through the eyes of faith then we cannot expect God to fulfill our desires beyond all our expectations.
