You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

The sad reality of many young boys and girls growing up with absent fathers is alarming. We live in a generation where fathers either live children at birth with the mother and never show up or leave due to divorce and never take part in the child’s life afterwards or lacks to show any emotional connection with their child or fail to perform the basic duties he has as a father leaving the mother playing both mom and dad in the house.
And sadly I’m part of those statistics. Yeah, I have daddy issues and I realised that this year because I tried convincing myself for many years that my dad cares and loves me but sadly I was proved wrong.
I fought God hard on this wondering why I was chosen to go through this pain.
Why me, God?
Why was I the one who had to have daddy issues, the one who feels no love from her dad and have no one to teach her how a man should treat her… I began to believe that all men are trash and was angry at men becaise of one man.
But despite all that, God reminded me that He never leaves me nor forsakes me, that He is my Dad no matter what that He loves me unconditionally. He reminds me everyday that He will provide for what is necessary for me.
To all girls with daddy issues like me, Don’t worry, Hod hears your cry. It is not easy, I know but Trust Him. He cares for real. His love is for real and He is always there.
Talk to Him, He’s listening.
